Rick Strassman Speaks on Magical Egypt the Afterlife and DMT
Dr Rick Strassman was permitted to embark on the first human research with psychedelic, hallucinogenic, or entheogenic substances (mostly Dimethyltryptamine) in the 1990s in the United States after 20 years’ intermission in the field. In the intermission period it has only been legally possible to research on animals. Strassman’s studies investigated the effects of N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a powerful entheogen, or psychedelic, that he theorizes is a substance produced by the human brain in the pineal gland (without any conclusive proof), and an active ingredient in ayahuasca. Ayahuasca is any of the various psychoactive infusions or decoctions prepared from the Banisteriopsis spp. vine, native to the Amazon Rainforest (which is also called ayahuasca). The resulting drinks are pharmacologically complex and used for shamanic, folk-medicinal, and religious purposes. Occidental ethno-biologists have noted a variety of 200-300 plants used in the different brews made by the Ayahuasceras. It is an open question whether Ayahuasca should be noted as one particular shamanic medicinal brew, or that it should be noted as an entire medicinal tradition alongside, for instance, Ayurveda or Tibetan Medicine. During the project’s five years, he administered approximately 400 doses of DMT to 60 human volunteers. This research took place at the University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he was tenured Associate Professor of Psychiatry.

Psychedelic Artist, Roger Anthony Essig, asks Alex via email of the spiritual danger of encountering entities while having a DMT, (Dimethyltryptamine) experience. Researcher and author Graham Hancock presented his thesis that “supernatural” entities such as aliens and fairies are actually transdimensional beings that humans encounter during altered states of consciousness. The ability to shape-shift has been ascribed to both modern aliens as well as elves and other entities reported centuries ago, he detailed.
Around 35,000 to 40,000 years ago humans underwent a sudden change, and the emergence of cave and rock paintings are evidence of this, said Hancock, who noted that some of their depictions were of part human/part animal beings. He believes these represent the supernatural entities, and through altered states (probably due to ingesting psilocybin mushrooms) humans learned advanced skills from their encounters with these beings.
Nowadays, shamans commonly have such altered state communications. They feel humanity is at a crossroads– the West has lost contact with the spirit world, and many of the world’s woes are due to this, Hancock reported. As part of his experiential research, he traveled to South America and took the psychedelic plant mixture ayahuasca. During one such episode, he described a confrontation with an alien being, but rather than being an extraterrestrial, he suggested it inhabits another dimension that can only be accessed during an altered state.

It goes by many names, direct mystical transmission, dream multiverse transport, divine magical tranciever. Whatever you want to call it, DMT is the thing that opens you the impossible question, the indescribable revelation and the divine mystery of existence.
Many a brilliant mind from Terrence Mckenna to Tim Leary and others have tried to convey the fact that right here, right now, behind every billowing curtain, under every sleeping eyelid and through all of existence there flows an incredible active intelligence of awe inspiring wonder, sacredness and affection for humanity and all sentient beings.
DMT is a mystery wrapped within an enigma, a mandalic gateway to the innermost depths of existence and one’s soul, a hyperdimensional rollercoaster ride into the realm of the imagination, the liquid palace where dreams are made and unmade, the 13 th dimensional candy store at end of time where the weavers of god’s tapestry sing, dance and play.
DMT is all of these things and yet none of them for words are like pale reflections of the transcendental diamond doorway which stands before and within, beckoning and calling softly in dreams and the imagination.
This chemical of revelation is what religions all point towards, it’s what all beautiful art tries to convey, what all of the greatest symphonies try to make you feel. DMT is your personal doorway, your connection to a filament of the divine, to the God/Goddess that lives within you and I and everyone.
With our mother planet slowly dying, with so much greed and so many crying, with wars raging and and nothing changing it doesn’t have to be this way. Let’s admit that we made a mistake, that science won’t solve everything, that the planet and humanity need help, let’s try a new path, a path of freedom, liberation and a connection with the divinity within us all.
This sacrament is here for a reason, it’s time to open our minds, open our hearts, dissolve belief systems and start being of service to all sentient beings and mother earth, we can change it all, we can go back to living freely and with real love. This place can be so much nicer, so much more wonderful, why do we continue to play this way?
