Futurama paying tribute to Transformers ! Let thy count the ways !

As a huge fan of Transformers as a kid growing I was absolutely delighted when Futurama gave a nod to the original Transformers animated movie. Simpsons and Futurama writers are well known for their obscure allusions, and this is about as obscure as they come. It’s these references, especially the geek related ones, that made and will make Futurama as beloved as it is.
