A highlight reel of Fedor Emelianenko, who up until only a few weeks ago was known to be the best fighter walking the face of the planet. A stoic, steely eyed Russian he had an aura about him, part cyborg , part human. He would walk to the ring emotionless, yet he is deeply religious, his expression unchanging even when experiencing what to most would be extreme stress. He seemed almost invincible, physically not imposing with the physique of an everyman, he is a true martial artist that performed his physical alchemy in the ring. A few weeks ago he suffered his first defeat in the ring, which has dulled some of the invincible aura he had about him, but even in defeat he showed deep and complex understanding of rhythm as he stated after the fight “He who does not fall, never stands”.
