Physicists Find Way to 'See' Extra Dimensions

A new study demonstrates that the shapes of extra dimensions can be “seen” by deciphering their influence on cosmic energy released by the violent birth of the universe 13 billion years ago. The method, published today (Feb. 2) in Physical Review Letters, provides evidence that physicists can use experimental data to discern the nature of these elusive dimensions – the existence of which is a critical but as yet unproven element of string theory, the leading contender for a unified “theory of everything.”

Technoshamanism: Reality or Nonsense ?

Personally i don’t think “true” techno shamanism is possible until we reach the point where we can actually transfer the our brain / mind / consciousness onto silicon for storage.

Shamanism involves a disengagement from the constraints of the body, a liberation of the mind through incantations, trance dance, drugs, heightening of the senses and prolonged dreamstates. Terrance McKenna a contemporary philosopher, believes that technology is becoming a substitute for these kinds of ancient rituals which were once evident in many nomadic cultures. Young people today see Virtual Reality as drug-simultated escape, Rave Clubs as a place for massive trance dance rituals and The Internet as the ultimate way for more modern nomads to traverse time and space. Are we entering an era of Technoshamanism?

A Brief History of Alchemy

Here is a nice introduction to alchemy.

It is common today to think of alchemy as the mere precursor of chemistry or a primitive and not very accurate attempt to describe nature. This is entirely untrue. Alchemy, from its beginnings, was a means to transform the human soul from its base (lead) state to its Enlightened and eternal state (gold). Alchemy lies at the heart of the world’s three dominant modern religions.
